Project IV

A New House for a Young Family

A New House for a Young Family

The project presented the challenge of building on the 100 year flood plain, leading us to design the house on top of a platform of pylons, 8 feet above the grade of the street. The house takes inspiration from Tudor architecture but it keeps the details minimal and casual.
